The highly anticipated COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2012, Asia's largest ICT trade show. kicked off its five-day trade bonanza today in five exhibition halls in Taipei. The event's 1,800 exhibitors and 5,300 booths are expected to attract more than 36,000 international buyers. At the PreShow
International Press Conference held yesterday at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), TAITRA Vice President Walter M.S. Yeh pointed out that this year's COMPUTEX TAIPEI will feature three themes; Ultrabooks, Smart Hand-held Devices, and Cloud Technology and services. Speaking to reporters at the banquet hall at TICC. Yeh said: "Famous Taiwan brands such as Acer, ASUS, Delta and Internationalgiants like Intel, NVIDIA, Microsoft, AMD, Ford and Samsung will all showcase their latest products.”
As the number of exhibitors and buyers continues to rise each year, COMPUTEX TAIPEI has worked to improve the services it offers to those directly involved in the event. “ It is no secret that we are out to inspire buyers with better services,” Yeh said. "To help buyers move between venues, we have focused on the MRT line which now links Xinyi District and NANGANG Hall.” Efforts such as these have been Implemented to ensure that buyers and exhibitors keep returning year after year. “The challenge facing the ICT industry is to create success in a new era of opportunity and I believe that COMPUTEX TAIPEI empowers such endeavors with the best choices available,” Yeh said.
